Over 120 people from across the borough joined Hounslow Council last Thursday to launch a new funding initiative.

The Community Infrastructure Levy [CIL] is a new funding initiative providing over £300,000 this year to support community projects across the borough.

CIL provides local groups with resources they may need to fund projects in wide variety of areas, including: parks, public and open spaces, skills and training, plus cultural, education, and community services and facilities.

The launch event held at the Holiday Inn, Brentford, was led by Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council and Councillor Theo Dennison, Cabinet Member for Finance and Citizen Engagement.

If groups and organisations want to nominate a project for CIL funding, they have until Friday 15 September to submit their ideas.
