Google reveals that London’s Wireless Festival is this year’s most searched for Festival

The UK festival season is about to get into full swing, but one HUGE name is missing from the line-up. Yes, we know Glastonbury isn’t happening this year, but fear not… Google has you covered – search data has revealed the best of the rest this festival season.

Most searched festival

Finsbury Park’s Wireless Festival tops the list for online excitement, with it coming out on top for most searched UK festivals this year. Wireless is closely followed by the head-banging Download Festival and last weekend’s Isle of Wight Festival. The top 10 most searched UK festivals are:

Most searched 2018 headliners

In terms of the most searched 2018 headliners, it’s American rapper, singer and songwriter Post Malone that tops the chart, with UK rock legend Liam Gallagherin second and Compton superstar Kendrick Lamarin third. American artists dominate the list of most searched headliners, outnumbering the Brits 7 vs. 3.

Wireless seems to have nailed their 2018 lineup, with six of the top 10 searched headliners making their way to Finsbury Park in early July. Wireless is followed closely by Rize Festival in Chelmsford with two entries, and Reading and Leeds, Download and Lovebox  with one each.

The ultimate line-up

After a fallow year, music fans are hoping for a stellar line-up at Glastonbury 2019. While it’s an impossible task building a line-up to suit all tastes, Google has ranked the top global music acts to build a lineup based on search popularity:

Friday:Ed Sheeran (1), Ariana Grande (4), Justin Bieber (7)

Saturday: Drake (2), Taylor Swift (5), Arctic Monkeys (8)

Sunday: Eminem (3), Rihanna (6), Little Mix (9)

Google has also revealed which questions festival goers have been searching for most this year. Results reveal that the festival ‘look’ remains all important, with ‘what are the best things to wear’ and ‘how we should be doing our hair’ coming out on top. The top questions are:
