Gymshark Regent Street opens its doors this October

Gymshark, the fitness community and apparel brand, today announces that it will open the doors of its flagship store at 165 Regent Street on Saturday 1st October 2022. As well as the reveal of the opening date, we’re also lifting the lid on what our community can expect from the store and what they can get up to.

Despite many forecasting the death of the high street and bricks & mortar in retail, we don’t buy into that. We’re bullish on its future and we are determined to prove it. So, in December 2021, we announced that we would be taking over 18,000 square feet at 165 Regent Street. Since then, we’ve been working tirelessly to create a store that will live long in the memory for all those that come to visit. The store was also designed and built with sustainability at its heart, in line with our commitment to the communities we operate in.

As we have always said, while the store will sell Gymshark merch and apparel, it’s a place for our community to experience the essence of Gymshark. Some of the key features include:

The Sweat Room

An interchangeable sweat studio operating from the store, the Sweat Room will offer an ever rotating programme of classes for the Gymshark community. The space doubles up as a “stage” for bigger events.

We will offer around 30 classes per week (15 signature sweat classes, five interchangeable flexi classes), five community sessions (gifted to our charity partners), four Open Gym sessions (for the team to train/content creation) and a Sunday Brunch event with a guest professional each week.

The class timetable will change regularly and will run throughout the day, from 7am (before the store opens) until close.

The Pro Bench

A bar where our experts will be able to impart their stellar fitness advice to the conditioning community. Anyone will be able to book appointments with an in-store professional on disciplines ranging from personal training to advice to mindset.

Appointments will be 25 minutes and complimentary. It’s for everyone – from those who are brand new to their fitness journey to seasoned athletes looking to improve an aspect of their journey.

The Hub

It’s a space for our community that can mould, change and evolve to hos podcasts, panels, workshops, screenings, live streaming, Sunday Brunch Clubs and more. It is designed to speak to different communities, whether hyper local, domestic and international and will cover off a variety of topics, staying ahead of our community’s interests and predicting future trends in conversation.

The space will host Community, Customers, Schools/Universities, Press, Athletes, Guest Speakers. The space will hold anywhere from single digit to 30 people – with ability to grow into the flexible retail space for events of 100.

Joe and The Juice

We know that genuine connections are forged pre or post a workout in the food and beverage area. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Joe And The Juice to create a space that will offer hot and drinks, sandwiches, protein shakes and exclusive products.

Ben Francis, Founder and CEO of Gymshark, said: “I keep having have to pinch myself that we’re going to have a flagship store on one of the most prestigious streets in the world. And now, we have an opening date, it’s all getting very real. The team have done an absolutely incredible job creating a store like no other and the experiences are going to be unbelievable. But what I’m most excited about, especially after the past couple of years, is that we get to hang out with our amazing community on a daily basis. I cannot wait.”
