Take to the river this February half-term with Thames Clippers (www.thamesclippers.com) to enjoy London’s many family activities, including interactive museums and trampoline parks.

Kids go free with a Family River Roamer ticket* (£35.60 when bought online) allowing families to hop-on and hop-off the Thames Clippers boats all day long in London.

The River Bus is offering an on-board kids meal deal during the February half-term for only £3.50, including a sandwich, packet of crisps or a Bear Fruit YoYo and a juice box. To keep children entertained during the journey, grab a ‘Learning the Ropes’ activity book which includes river-based activities, puzzles, quizzes and information.

Activities for children to enjoy along the river include:

A festival for bookworms (London Eye (Waterloo) Pier): Southbank Centre’s annual Imagine Children’s Festival focuses on all things to do with children’s books, welcoming children of all ages from tots to teens. Highlights from this year’s event include a celebration of the Harry Potter series. The festival runs 12-23 February.

Mudlarking interactive play (Canary Wharf Pier): Families can disembark at Canary Wharf Pier to explore the Museum of London Docklands’ Mudlarks gallery – a free interactive learning space for young visitors. Introducing the stories told within the museum in a fun and stimulating environment, little ones can load cargo in Tip the clipper or become a builder in the building role-play area. The museum is also putting on special activities for February half-term all focused on the River Thames, which include building London Bridge from craft materials, Lab Tots’ scientific adventure for under 5s, and storytelling about the Thames Tunnel and The Great Stink.

Race cars (Greenwich Pier): At Cutty Sark, kids are invited to design and race their own creations. It’s based on the sleek design of the Cutty Sark ship. This design and race programme will be available from 17-21 February.

Jumping fun (North Greenwich Pier): To visit The O2 this half term, hop off at North Greenwich Pier and enjoy an array of choices for the whole family, whether it’s enjoying a game at Hollywood Bowl, a spot of shopping at ICON Outlet, watching a film at Cineworld, or burning off some energy by scaling Up at The O2 or jumping around at Oxygen Freejumping. Or visit new openings at The O2 including the Selfie Factory for fun family snaps or KickTown, which uses the latest technology from the gaming industry to bring epic football challenges to life.

Kids workshops (Battersea Power Station Pier): Out west will be a mix of workshops and activities for the whole family to enjoy, keeping Circus West Village busy throughout the half-term week.
