Hillingdon Local’s Fitness Transformation Lands her Role in PureGym Campaign

A local gym-goer has been picked to star in PureGym’s latest ‘Member Stories’ campaign. Parita Patel, 43, who only joined the gym three years ago after 20 years without playing sport or keeping active, will feature on PureGym’s social channels and website over the coming weeks.

Parita was chosen to star in the campaign as, after developing hypertension due to her stressful career, she decided that she needed to make her health and wellbeing her top priority. When she turned 40, Parita quit her job, travelled, then joined the gym, enlisting the help of PureGym Northolt personal trainer, Michael. Since then, the gym has become a part of her lifestyle with Parita seeing great improvements to both her mental and physical health and even reducing the medication she takes for her hypertension.

Parita comments: “The gym has brought me out of my shell completely. Since working out at PureGym I am more confident, I smile more and I try to do things I might have feared to do before. During lockdown, I did a few home and outdoor workouts here and there which was enough to keep me mobile until the gyms reopened, but it just wasn’t quite the same as working out at PureGym. When the Government announced English gyms could reopen it was like Christmas had come early! I couldn’t sleep the night before. Four months without the gym had felt like a long time and I’m over the moon to be back.”

‘Member Stories’ will follow other gym-goers in the UK over the next few weeks, highlighting how being back at the gym is positively impacting their lives through a number of different ways. To read more about Parita’s story visit: https://www.puregym.com/blog/paritas-fitter-over-40-gym-story/
