Hollywood Bowl Finchley is hoping the good times can continue to roll for families and friends, as the popular destination supports local campaigners opposing the proposed building work at the Great North Leisure Park. The building work will see the much-loved bowling alley alongside a Vue Cinema replaced with 1,485 flats.
Hollywood Bowl Finchley has resided at the Great North Leisure Park since March 1996 and 30 years later families continue to visit the 26 lanes, score strikes and tuck into hot dogs, burgers and loaded fries. With 46 dedicated team members, including some team members that have been at the centre for years, many team friendships and internal progression opportunities available, the team are devasted that the centre may close in the near future.
Since its opening in 1994, Hollywood Bowl Finchley has helped families and friends play 15.4 million games of bowling, hosted 449,000 birthday parties and served up 511,000 burgers and 195,000 milkshakes to hungry bowlers!
Mike Skinner, Centre Manager at Hollywood Bowl Finchley said, “Although it is a worrying time for the future of the Centre, we are feeling proud that so many locals want to stop the building work and save our bowling lanes. We want to continue welcoming customers, hosting birthday parties and being a part of the local community for as long as possible!”
