Taylor Wimpey has donated a cash boost of £10,000 to its charity of the year, The Sick Children’s Trust.

The homebuilder raised the cash with various fundraising drives, including hosting its highly-anticipated annual May ball, which collected £3,000 towards the final amount.

Jane Featherstone, Chief Executive at The Sick Children’s Trust, comments: “When a child is seriously ill in hospital, they need their family by their side. Taylor Wimpey have made this a possibility for hundreds of families across Yorkshire and beyond who have a sick child undergoing lifesaving treatment. With their generous donation of £10,000, The Sick Children’s Trust will keep families together by supporting them with free ‘Home from Home’ accommodation, as well as emotional and practical support.

“In Yorkshire, we currently have three ‘Homes from Home’ supporting families with seriously ill children undergoing treatment at Leeds General Infirmary and Sheffield Children’s Hospital, so on behalf of every family we support, we’d like to say thank you to Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation.””
