Killick Royale Championships 2018 set to be the biggest yet!

Professional ballroom dancer Paul Killick created the Killick Royale Championships in 2015 and ever since the competition has been going from strength to strength.  This year a judging panel will be created from fabulous Strictly celebrities and dancers, in order to raise money for Children in Need. This glamorous event will be held in the prestigious Great Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane on Sunday 7th October 2018.

The championships cater for beginners and professional dancers from all over the world. This year they are announcing the ‘Open to the World ‘events which will include the worlds finest amateur dancers competing in their respective teams of USA, Europe, Asia and Great Britain. There will also be an invitational ‘TeddyBear’ event (under 12) where the National champions from China, Russia, USA, Iceland and Great Britain will be represented. These Ballroom, Latin and Professional Smooth events will be danced in the evening and will be accompanied by the live music of the Len Philips Big Band with Karen Hardy being the MC. The Killick Royale Championships are inclusive without restriction on age or dance level.

Paul Killick is one of the original dancers from the much-loved TV show Strictly Come Dancing. Specialising in the Latin style Killick has won several international titles including the World Championship, World Cup, World Masters and the World Series. Killick is also a choreographer, coach, television personality, dance judge, world-class adjudicator and the owner and director of the Arthur Murray International flagship studio in Beverly Hills. His famous dance partners have included Karina Smirnoff, Carol Vorderman, Gloria Estefan and Royalty.

This year, in order to raise money for Children in Need the event, will feature a special dance from young world-class dancers that will be judged by Strictly dancers and celebrities.
