Before the first whistle blows at this summer’s FIFA World Cup, London football fans are being invited to kick off the tournament with a live orchestra dedicated entirely to the songs that have soundtracked generations of football supporters.
On Wednesday 10 June, BOX Piccadilly will host World Cup Classics, a one-night-only event celebrating football’s greatest anthems, bringing together live music, football nostalgia and plenty of opportunities for fans to sing at the top of their lungs before the tournament officially begins the following day.
The event will see a live orchestra perform some of football’s most beloved songs and stadium favourites, from Three Lions and World In Motion to international tournament classics such as Waka Waka, alongside terrace chants and football anthems recognised by fans across the globe.
Alongside the live performances, guests will be able to watch classic World Cup matches shown across the venue, book football-themed karaoke booths loaded with tournament favourites and enjoy special food and drinks packages created for the start of the competition.
Running from 7pm to 9pm, with doors opening at 6.30pm, the event will include:
Live orchestral performances of iconic football anthems
Classic World Cup matches shown throughout the venue
Football-themed karaoke booths
Exclusive World Cup food and drinks specials
Free tickets, available on a first come, first served basis
Tom Mayer-Jones, BOX Brand and Marketing Manager sais: “You can’t start a World Cup quietly. The songs, the chants and the chaos are all part of it. We wanted to create the ultimate warm-up party before a ball’s even been kicked, where fans can belt out football classics, relive iconic moments and hopefully lose their voice before the tournament even starts.”
Free tickets are now available for the World Cup Classics event at BOX Piccadilly
