Lola Odujinrin, the first British-African pilot in history to fly solo around the world in a single engine aircraft, is hosting a talk at Toulouse in Elephant & Castle on 25th September to tell his remarkable story about breaking the world record and achieving his dreams.

Lola completed his “One Man, One Plane” expedition on March 29th, 2017, landing at Washington Dulles International Airport, the same airport he departed from in June 2016. Lola’s story is remarkable, beginning with a childhood dream and transforming into a reality – demonstrating the power of perseverance and tenacity. His success story is as a result of overcoming numerous failures, paired with years of endurance and discipline.

Lola will talk about how he pushed himself to the limits, refusing to accept defeat and finally achieving his first wing as a private pilot at a young age of just 20. Lola’s ultimate goal is to be the first of many ground-breaking feats and become a philanthropist, so this is just the beginning. Through this talk, Lola hopes to inspire youths to continue chasing their dreams and their aspirations.

Lola Odujinrin says: “I want people to know that nothing is impossible if you have a vision and you act with purpose and intent. My goal is to continue to break new grounds and give back to my community – Elephant & Castle – which supported me through my darkest times.”
