Morrissey releases new track ‘Knockabout World’


Morrissey has today released new track ‘Knockabout World’, the 3rd track to be taken from his new album, due next month.The song opens with Morrissey’s immediately captivating vocals singing “Congratulations – you have survived, Congratulations – you’re still alive!” filling the track with melodrama…it’s a catchy 3 minute song featuring synth riffs, twinkling electronics and jangling guitars which build to an orchestra of lush euphoric strings.

According to The Daily Brit, Morrissey’s 13th Solo Album and 2nd studio album for BMG Records, ‘I Am Not A Dog On A Chain’, is set to be released on March 20th, 2020. Full album track listing can be seen below and fans can pre-order the album here;

The album, produced by Grammy award winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (Beck, Tori Amos, The Strokes, The Killers, The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, etc), and recorded at Studio La Fabrique in Saint- Rémy de Provence, France, and Sunset Soundin Hollywood, California, also saw it’s first single, ‘Bobby Don’t You Think They Know?’, featuring backing vocals by legendary R+B Icon Thelma Houston and second single ‘Love Is On Its Way Out’ released to great critical and fan response.

Two Morrissey UK arena concerts have also been confirmed as well as dates in Cologne &Paris. The first UK date is at Leeds First Direct Arena on Friday, March 6th along with a second show set at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London on Saturday, March 14th. He also plays the Palladium Cologne on the 9thMarch and the Salle Pleyel in Paris on 11th March.
