New appeal following murder in Knightsbridge

Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Knightsbridge continue to appeal for information.

A murder investigation was launched after police were called to Brompton Road, SW1 shortly after midnight on Friday, 6 December following reports of a stabbing.

Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended and found a man suffering a stab injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 00:39hrs.

While formal identification awaits, next of kin have been informed and the deceased is 20-year-old Mohammed Abdullah Al Araimi, an Omani national who lived in London.

He was a student at Kings College, studying politics and economics.

A post-mortem examination took place at Westminster Mortuary on Friday, 6 December and gave cause of death as a stab wound.

A second man, aged 20, a friend of Mohammed’s, who was also found suffering injuries was taken to hospital for treatment; he has since been discharged.
