Planning permission for the construction of a two-storey rear extension and part-storey roof extension to create three residential flats has been approved on the Edgware Road.
Pegasus Group secured the permission from City of Westminster Council on behalf of Mishry Investments Ltd for the works at 182-184 Edgware Road.
The proposals were for the erection of a two storey rear extension at rear third and fourth floor levels and construction of an additional part-storey extension at fifth floor level with terraces to front and rear, in association with the creation of three residential flats; erection of infill extension at rear second floor level; alterations to and installation of plant equipment and enclosure at rear second floor level; and alterations to the front facade including balconies and extension at second, third and fourth floor levels.
Katy Mourant, a senior planner from Pegasus Group’s London office, said: “We were delighted to secure planning permission on this project, the location of which immediately abuts a Conservation Area.
“In response to a series of design comments, the details of the proposals were revised during the course of the application in order to amend the design of the front elevation and to further set back the new fourth floor addition.
“We are confident that in granting planning permission it was recognised that the development will significantly improve the design of the existing building as well as provide much needed housing in a highly sustainable area.”
