NIKE LATEST RETAILER SET TO OPEN STORE AT BATTERSEA POWER STATION

Battersea Power Station today announced that Nike, will open a new store inside the Grade II* listed Power Station from 14th October 2022, when the London landmark will open its doors to the public for the first time in history. The store will focus on serving consumers in the Battersea neighbourhood, and will span approximately 8,380 sq ft.

Nike is the latest retailer to join the exciting mix of British and international brands set to open at Battersea Power Station and on Electric Boulevard, a new pedestrianised high street for London, which will also open from 14th October. Brands already announced to be setting up shop inside the Power Station include Hackett, Theory, Ace + Tate, Castore, Mango, Aēsop and Battersea Bookshop, a new neighbourhood bookshop from renowned London bookseller Stanfords.

Electric Boulevard will be home to a mix of office space, shops, bars and restaurants, a park and an exciting new 164 room hotel from art’otel®, the brand’s first hotel to open in London. Retailers already announced to be opening on Electric Boulevard include high street favourite, ZARA, a new-concept M&S Foodhall and Korean food and culture hub, Oseyo.

Battersea Power Station will be the centrepiece of a new ‘15-minute’ live, work and play neighbourhood, which will act as a new hub for the local and wider communities, a new business quarter for the capital and a retail and leisure destination for Londoners and international visitors. Once open, the Power Station will be home to 254 residential apartments, over 100 retail shops, restaurants and cafés, including a 24,000 sq ft Arcade Food Hall from JKS Restaurants which will open in 2023, office and event spaces, plus Lift 109, a unique glass elevator elevator which transports visitors 109m to the top of the building’s north west chimney, offering stunning 360 degree views of the London skyline.

Circus West Village, the first completed chapter in the regeneration of Battersea Power Station, is already home to over 1,800 residents and more than 20 bars, restaurants, cafés, fitness and leisure offerings.

With the Northern Line extended to give this new riverside neighbourhood its very own Zone 1 London Underground station, Battersea Power Station is now within 15 minutes of the West End and the City and is expected to draw visitors from across the capital and the globe, becoming one of London’s most visited destinations, boosting the local economy and creating over 17,000 jobs.
