Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice’s annual flagship appeal, ‘From That Moment’ launched at the start of September 2026 with a target of £1 million to help with the running costs of the hospice which currently stand at over £7m per year. During the campaign, individuals, schools, and businesses in the community pull together to raise funds that make a real difference to the lives of children who are seriously unwell and their families. The campaign runs to the 11 October 2026 when the charity then has 36 hours to hit their target and, as always, every donation will be doubled thanks to the generosity of the backer’s pot.
The accompanying film to the 2026 campaign, made by The 10 Group, features three families that are supported by Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice and explores their experiences of the moment their lives changed forever.
When seven-year-old Arabella Palmer, from Enfield, was diagnosed with leukaemia in October 2024, life changed overnight for her parents, Maria and Michael Palmer, and sisters Amelia Palmer, 10, and Isabel Palmer, 5. During intensive treatment, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice became a lifeline, offering the whole family a safe space to play, connect and create precious memories away from hospital. From sibling support and creative therapies to unforgettable experiences, the hospice supported them through an incredibly difficult time. As Arabella approaches the end of treatment, Maria says, “Noah’s Ark gave our family hope when we needed it most.”
When three-year-old Hudayfa Roble suffered a severe brain injury caused by oxygen deprivation at ten months old, his parents, Muna Abukar and Ridwan Roble from Barnet, faced a future they never expected. Since June 2024, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice has supported the family with Music Therapy, Specialist Play, short breaks and accessible family activities. These services have helped Hudayfa experience comfort and joy, while giving his parents and two-year-old sister, Hayfa, precious time together. As Muna says, “Noah’s Ark reminds us that we’re not alone.”
When Rose Charles from Whetstone first heard about Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice in 2008, she feared it meant end-of-life care. Caring for her grandchildren, Ben and Sophie Charles, both diagnosed with the rare genetic condition STXBP1 disorder, she soon discovered it was a place focused on living. After Ben died in 2014 when he was 17, Noah’s Ark continued supporting Rose and Sophie, now 20, with therapies, respite care and family support. Today, Rose says, “Without Noah’s Ark, life would be so much more isolated. It gives us a community, support and moments of happiness.”
