Detectives investigating the murder of 20-year-old Elyon Poku in Hackney are re-appealing for information.
Elyon was stabbed at a house party in Stamford Hill on 22 September 2018 and died just a few hours later in hospital.
A reward of up to £10,000 has been offered by the independent charity Crimestoppers for anyone providing information to them that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person/s responsible for the murder.
As part of the appeal, officers are also releasing footage of the teenager DJing at a party and are keen to speak to anyone who may have similar images or videos.
Detective Inspector Rita Tierney, from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “We are still unclear as to whether this video was taken at the party at which Elyon was killed or another similar event in the months before his death.
“However, we hope this footage reminds people to check through their own phones or social media accounts to see if they have any videos of Elyon at the party on the night he died where we know he spent some of the evening DJing.
“We are continuing to work tirelessly to find those responsible for his death and would urge anyone who might have information to come forward, no matter how insignificant they think it is.”
Elyon’s dad, Tony Poku, said: “It has now been more than eight months since Elyon was suddenly taken from us on a night which has torn our lives apart.
“Nothing can ever bring him back but we are desperate to get justice for our son and will do everything we can to make sure those who are responsible are caught.
“There were lots of people at that party and so we know there must have been many witnesses to what happened – we hope someone finds it within themselves to come forward now and help police.”
