Parents heading to the West End for a culture fix can now get help with the childcare too, with Bubble offering childcare support to make a night at the theatre easier to plan.
Following a summer of family plans and parents subjected to a summer of keeping the kids entertained and cartoons, September gives parents a reason to put their own night out back in the diary. Bubble, the childcare app, and Official London Theatre are making it easier for parents to enjoy the capital’s theatre scene throughout the month with £20 off looking after the kids.
The line-up offers tickets to some of the world’s biggest theatre shows, with something for everyone: a little mischief from the other side with Beetlejuice; sharp adult comedy from Avenue Q; a trip to the underworld with Hadestown; a date night with a genuine fright courtesy of Paranormal Activity; nostalgia with High School Musical; the magic of The Lion King; high-fashion wit in The Devil Wears Prada; dystopian drama in The Hunger Games; and a spellbinding night at Wicked.
Sarah Hesz, Co-founder of Bubble, said: “Parents are brilliant at building routines for everyone else, but often forget about themselves in that list. September is a great time to get back to routine and put yourself at the heart of it.
“Trusted childcare gives parents the confidence to step out and soak up the culture the city has to offer – whether that is a date night, a brilliant play or musical, or simply an evening spent talking about something other than the latest kids’ cartoon. Taking time for yourself does not mean stepping away from family life. It can be what helps you return to it feeling more like yourself.”
There is a huge selection of shows available on the Official London Theatre website including Avenue Q, As You Like It, Cabaret, Cats, Death Note, Hercules, Hamilton and Jesus Christ Superstar.
