With a packed programme of live music, festivals and outdoor events, plus top-tier talent, there’s something for everyone; and it’s set to be the ultimate destination for summer in the capital.
Perched on an iconic hilltop overlooking London, Alexandra Palace combines panoramic skyline views with the rolling green space of the award-winning Alexandra Park, where a natural amphitheatre creates one of the capital’s most spectacular settings for open-air live music.
On Thursday 09 July, The Maccabees kick off the summer season at Alexandra Palace Park, bringing Marks To Prove It back into the spotlight following last year’s re-issue of their 2015 UK No. 1 album. They’ll be joined by White Lies and Westside Cowboy.
Now expanded to a five-piece, Friday 10 July welcomes Isle of Wight natives Wet Leg to flex their indie muscles and hits from their two No.1 albums at their biggest headline show yet, with special guests English Teacher and Los Bitchos.
Back for its sixth year, Kaleidoscope Festival returns to the “People’s Palace” on Saturday 11 July, with multiple stages and a line-up featuring chart-conquering Rudimental, Groove Armada, MJ Cole, Black Grape, Roni Size, The Amy Winehouse Band and DJ Paulette.
More than just a music festival, Kaleidoscope extends far beyond the main stage, with comedy from multi-award-winning stand-up and TV favourite Russell Kane, Olga Koch, Emmanuel Sonubi and Bella Hull. The fun continues with the Some Voices Choir, Bez’s Acid House Experience, Hip Hop Karaoke and Disco Yoga, alongside a dedicated family area, a mini festival in itself. From adventures in the basements to the outdoor stages, this is one festival that truly lives up to its name.
A formidable live act, Welsh visionaries Super Furry Animals are well and truly back and celebrate three decades of glorious sonic adventures and collective curiosity in Alexandra Palace Park on Sunday 12 July, with very special guests The Beta Band.
Lock down your aerial, The Streets are performing A Grand Don’t Come For Free in its entirety at not one, but two huge outdoor shows on Thursday 16 and Saturday 18 July. Mike Skinner and co. will transport fans right back to their era-defining, landmark album of 2004.
One of the UK’s most accomplished and influential songwriters of the past three decades, Richard Ashcroft completes the 2026 summer season of outdoor gigs in Alexandra Palace Park on Friday 17 July, joined by special guests The Lathums and Cast.
Alexandra Palace’s legendary free street food and craft beer festival, StrEATlife, returns on May Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 23 – Sunday 24 May 2026. Soundtracked by a line-up of live music and DJs, the epic weekend features over 20 of London’s top street food vendors taking over the South Terrace outside the Palace. As one of London’s largest outdoor beer gardens, it’s the perfect spot to soak up the sunshine and unrivalled views across the capital.
Fasten your seatbelts for the world-famous Red Bull Soapbox Race on Saturday 20 June 2026, the race that challenges Britain’s most fearless, fun-loving, and foolhardy teams to prototype and create the wackiest rides. Come and watch the teams take on Ally Pally’s iconic hill in some wacky-wheeled action.
Closing out a summer of outdoor fun, Norman Jay MBE will be back for the fourth year in a row, bringing his legendary Good Times Soundsystem to the South Terrace on Sunday 30 August for an open-air Bank Holiday celebration packed full of sunshine, music, and good vibes. The iconic red Routemaster will host Norman and his legendary Carnival guests through a musical journey of house, rare groove, jazz, disco, hip-hop and drum’n’bass for one unforgettable party. It’s not just the music that will take centre stage, the Terrace will be buzzing with bars and street food stalls too, so get ready for a Bank Holiday Sunday of sun-soaked bliss.
If that’s not enough, there’s so much more on offer at Alexandra Park and Palace for summer fun. You can scale new heights and climb to the very top of Alexandra Palace with SUMMIT, London’s newest family attraction, and highest roof walk adventure, 130 metres above sea level — and the only Palace you can actually walk over.
