London Dog Week, running 24th to 31st March 2019, is the perfect opportunity to celebrate all the benefits that dog ownership can bring Londoners – reduced stress, lower blood pressure, improved fitness levels and fewer allergies in children, to name just a few.
It’s also the ideal time to recognise recent advances within the private rented sector when it comes to pet ownership, where rental home providers such as Tipi are making it easier than ever for dog lovers to live with their four-legged friends.
The lifestyle-led rental homes company launched its pet-friendly policy when opening the 295 apartments at Wembley Park’s Landsby late last year. Opening the doors to “paw-fectly” well behaved pets has already proven popular with tenants.
According to the Dogs Trust, one in three pet owners is unable to find a suitable rental property, while it can take pet owners up to seven times longer to rent a home compared to non-pet owners. Tipi’s new pet-friendly policy aims to turn those negative experiences on their head.
Well-mannered pets that can follow basic instructions are welcomed as residents and are greeted with goody bags the moment they arrive (the Tipi team’s Cavapoo, Frankie, is one of those in charge of assessing prospective furry residents’ behaviour and social skills).
