RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival returns for 2022 bringing gardening and floral displays for the summer season. Running from 4-9 July, the festival offers gardening, floristry, and foodie inspiration, all from the magnificent setting of the historic Hampton Court Palace.

Gardens Galore

From show gardens to green spaces for beginners, the RHS Hampton Court gardens provide everything from inspiration to food for thought. In the Get Started Gardens, Sue Kent’s #knollingwithdaisies demonstrates how gardening can be accessible for all whilst in the Global Impact category, What Does Not Burn provides an opportunity to reflect on the conflict in Ukraine and demonstrates the strength of Ukrainian culture.

Foodie Heaven

Packed full of allotment inspiration, foraging advice, and recipe ideas, RHS Hampton Court is a paradise for food lovers. See the likes of Raymond Blanc, Poppy Okotcha, and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall in the Market Theatre for talks on food provenance, grow your own, and field to fork principles. Then head down to the RHS Allotments and the River Cottage Market Garden to see these principles in practice and learn how to get into growing your own.

Golden hour at RHS Hampton

Kick start the weekend at Flowers After Hours, a new event for 2022. Take a leisurely wander around the show and see the gardens illuminated by the setting sun before enjoying a host of live music, street food, and workshops. Join Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall for a special River Cottage Feast* before dancing the night away at a silent disco led by Greg James and Fleur East, all amongst the splendour of RHS Hampton Court’s floral delights.

Everything’s Coming Up Roses

RHS Hampton Court is not complete without its displays of roses, which reach their peak of beauty during the summer months. Experience the pinnacle of UK rose growers in the Festival of Roses before relaxing in the beautiful RHS Rose Tea Garden, designed by Pollyanna Wilkinson, recent winner of the People’s Choice Award at RHS Chelsea.

Best of British Blooms

Whether a novice or a seasoned pro, get stuck into floristry with talks and advice from the experts. Flowers from the Farm takeover the RHS Flower School this year with demonstrations and workshops on creating everything from button holes to posies and how to support British growers when flower arranging by using sustainably grown, local flowers.
