The RSPCA is appealing for information after CCTV footage shows a man kicking a dog in Tottenham Hale, London.

The animal welfare charity has released the footage in the hope that someone recognises the man.

The incident happened on Lebus Street, outside Tesco Express, at 5.25pm on Saturday 4 February.

RSPCA animal rescue officer Neil Coleman, who is looking into the incident, said: “Our main priority is the welfare of the dog – we want to trace the dog and make sure he is okay. So we’re urging anyone who has any information about this dog to get in touch with us so we can check the pet’s welfare.

“The footage has been reviewed by vets and they are of the view that the dog suffered as a result of being kicked.”

Anyone with information should contact the RSPCA’s appeals line in complete confidence on 0300 123 8018.
