The much-loved open-air market outside the National Theatre on London’s South Bank is returning for 2026, providing visitors with some of the city’s best independent food, drinks and vibes all summer long.

A collaboration between National Theatre Food and Drink and street food pioneers, KERB, the seasonal market opens on Thursday 16 April, offering visitors an expanded food and drink selection over the alfresco season.

Sharing the stage will be Moody’s Dip Sandwiches, the UK’s only authentic dip sandwich slinger and a match made in heaven after a few pints, The Duck Shed, masters of the slow roasted duck and BARBS, who will bring the flavours of Barbados straight to the South Bank.

Meanwhile, taking over the 20-foot container bar, London’s largest independent brewery Signature Brew, will be pouring fresh pints, frozen cocktails, wine and spritzes on tap, while London-born coffee connoisseurs GRIND keep things cool with flavoured matcha, frappes and cold cocktails built for long afternoons in the sun. For dessert, artisan plant based gelateria Chill Gelato takes up position with dairy-free scoops all summer long.

New for 2026, an additional riverside beer garden is also opening for the first time, providing more seats by the Thames and more beer from Signature Brew.

Above the market, Forza Taps return for round three, spilling onto the lower terrace below Forza Wine with banging sunset views over the Thames and wine, cocktails, beer and slushies on tap.

The outdoor terrace at The Understudy has also been upgraded with two new KERB traders and the return of the much-loved Black Lines Bar. Guests can sip refreshing Hugo Spritzes, discover vibrant plant-based street food from Feed the Village, or indulge in Malaysian-Nigerian fusion from Happy Pot.

KERB has been bringing delicious, diverse, independent food and drink to the streets of London for over a decade and since 2021 has curated the open-air market at the National Theatre, transforming one of the city’s most iconic cultural institutions into a destination for al-fresco dining all summer long.
