Britain's Prince Charles,

Next week, The Prince of Wales who is President of the British Red Cross Society is set to hold a reception at St James’s Palace to thank Red Cross volunteers for their efforts this year following the terror attacks in London and Manchester and the Grenfell Tower fire.

The Prince of Wales is expected to “thank them for the large scale effort undertaken over the past year to help those affected by recent tragedy.” according to a statement seen by this outlet

This event is part of His Royal Highness’s ongoing support for volunteers and the emergency services throughout 2017 as in June this year after the Grenfell Tower fire in West London, His Royal Highness visited the area’s temporary relief centre to speak to some of the building’s residents and those who supported them following the tragedy.

The Red Cross is based on a global network of volunteers supporting people before, during and after a crisis. The British Red Cross has been responding to emergencies in the UK for close to 150 years.
