Capital Karts has opened the UK’s fastest indoor go karting track at Canary Wharf, offering an 800-metre track for both first-time-karters and seasoned pros.

The 80,000 square foot indoor track is located at 15 Cabot Square in Canary Wharf, and includes elite eco-friendly, re-chargeable electric karts with top speeds of 40MPH. Each kart has been made in London and includes state-of-the-art technology that measures lap time so drivers can track improvement.

The track features multiple twists and turns, and can facilitate up to 16 drivers on the track at one time. Sessions include 15-minute Super Sprints, Double Sprints and the Grand Prix, which offers a 15-minute practice run ahead of a 20-minute race – complete with a winner’s podium and trophy for the fastest on track.

The track is open from 10:30am to 11pm at night and visitors can book from £28.50. Go karting fans can also benefit from an annual membership that unlocks access to higher speed racing and exclusive events.

All staff are trained to the highest safety standards, with electrical loops in pit lanes automatically slowing karts and staff able to remotely control karts if required.

Capital Karts is the latest in a series of leisure activities at Canary Wharf, ranging from ping pong to basketball, and outdoor cinema to London’s largest collection of outdoor public art, where over 100 pieces from some of the world’s best known artists are free to view.
