Three local men have been charged after investigation into moped enabled crime

Three men have been charged as part of the Met’s Operation Vocare investigation into moped enabled crime and associated offences.

Zakir Hossain, 40 of Hannibal Road, E1 was arrested on 22 March 2017 and charged on 5 January 2018 with one count of conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal and one count of conspiracy to receive stolen goods.

Iftehar Ahmed, 38 of Tarling Street, E1 was arrested on 2 March 2017 and charged on 5 January 2018 with one count of conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal and one count of conspiracy to receive stolen goods.

Both Hossain and Ahmed appeared in custody at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on 6 January. They were remanded in custody to appear at Blackfriars Crown Court for trial on 26 March.

Md Munna Miah, 30 of Manchester Road, E14 was arrested on 2 March 2017 and charged on 5 January with one count of conspiracy to receive stolen goods.

He was bailed to attend Highbury Magistrates’ Court the following day (6 January) and was further bailed to attend Blackfriars Crown Court for trial on 26 March.
