Forget energy gels, Uber Eats has officially turned London into a giant, city-wide, tasting menu.
Introducing the Uber Eats Morsel Marathon: a culinary running route that flips traditional distance running on its head, swapping finish-line tension for exploration across 26 of the capital’s hottest food spots.
The route launched today with hundreds of runners from some of London’s leading grassroots run clubs taking to the streets, swapping PBs for pizza, gyoza, artisanal pastries, and green juices along the way.

Built for runners, by runners, the route was mapped with Charlie Dark MBE – a cornerstone of Britain’s modern running movement, shaping a course that captures the true pulse of the city.
Each stop has been selected to showcase the breadth of London’s food scene, from beloved mainstays such as wagamama, Pizza Pilgrims, Joe & The Juice and Gail’s to cult independent favourites like Coqfighter, Murger Han and Sandwich Sandwich.
Merve Basci, General Manager at Uber Eats UK, said:“London is one of the food capitals of the world and boasts a huge vibrant community of runners across the city. The Morsel Marathon brings the two together, with 26 restaurants helping us turn the city into one giant tasting route. It’s about discovering great food, bringing people together and giving something back.”
Charlie Dark MBE, founder of Run Dem Crew, says: “Running has never just been about putting one foot in front of the other – it’s about culture, discovery, and seeing your city through a different lens. The Morsel Marathon takes that ethos and dials it up to eleven. We’ve built a route that celebrates street culture, brings people together, and proves that the best way to explore London is with a pair of running shoes and an appetite.”
Donna Beetham, Head of Fundraising at City Harvest, says: “London is a city that loves food, but it is also a city where too many people are struggling to access it. That’s why this partnership with Uber Eats matters. The donation of 150,000 meals will help City Harvest support communities across the capital at a particularly challenging time of year. The Morsel Marathon turns a celebration of London’s food culture into something with a much bigger impact.”
Today’s launch is just the starting line. Starting now, the complete Morsel Marathon route is open to the public to try – whether tackling all 26 stops in one go or breaking it into bite-sized weekend legs with friends.
The first 100 people to complete the full route and tag their Strava activity to @UberEatsUK on Instagram will unlock £262 in Uber Eats credit to fuel their recovery.
Don’t worry – runners don’t need 16 weeks of gruelling training to tackle this course. While packed with 26 iconic culinary stops, the entire Morsel Marathon route spans an accessible 11k (7.2 miles).
Designed to be walked, jogged, or sprinted, it’s a course built for foodies and social runners alike, where taking your time and enjoying every bite is the ultimate goal. If runners do want the full traditional marathon experience, they just need to run 3.5 laps, with SushiDog marking their final stop.
The Morsel Marathon will fuel runners while helping to feed Londoners in need. Alongside the route, Uber Eats is partnering with food redistribution charity, City Harvest to turn miles into meals for some of London’s most vulnerable communities.
