Victoria Park Vixens and Lime drop new limited-edition football kits inspired by 90s nostalgia – here’s how to get yours

Lime is teaming up with East London grassroots football club Victoria Park Vixens to unveil a new limited-edition co-designed football kit – and for the first time ever, fans can get their hands on it.

Inspired by retro football shirts of the ‘90s – blending nostalgia with a fresh, modern edge – the design fuses Lime’s iconic green with the Vixens’ signature burgundy and gold hues, elevated by a striking new pop of pink. The result is a kit that feels as much at home on the streets as it does on the pitch.

The Vixens have built a reputation for redefining football style, with their fashion-forward kits earning a cult following. Their 2024 drop went viral, even landing them a feature in EA Sports FC – cementing their status as a club that blends sport and culture in London.

The collaboration taps directly into the ‘footballcore’ movement, a trend showing no signs of slowing as we head towards a Summer of football. In 2025, the football shirt became an unlikely fashion staple, dominating social feeds and pop culture alike, with names like Dua Lipa and Sabrina Carpenter embracing vintage, reclaimed and current club kits.

Lime has also cemented its status within local football communities as a go to transport option for players and teams – after all nothing screams grassroots football more than turning up to the pitch on a Lime bike.

A limited run of the Victoria Park Vixens x Lime shirts are available to buy for £45.00 here today, with all proceeds going directly back into the team and grassroots football.

Tora Northman, Victoria Park Vixen player said: “This collaboration means a lot to us, we’re so excited to have Lime as our new sponsor – it’s a huge honour. We’ve spent the last few seasons playing in mismatched kits, welcoming more new players to the club, and securing funding to produce a kit is a massive challenge when it comes to running a team. Women’s football already suffers from a lack of funding, and at grassroots level even more so, so seeing a brand like Lime come through and provide the support is inspiring.

“A kit isn’t just a vanity thing, it’s something that unites everyone on and off the pitch – it gives you a sense of belonging. We’ve always built Victoria Park Vixens to be an open, supportive space, and having a kit is part of that for every player.

“We use Lime to get to and from games all the time, so it already felt like part of the team.”

Ellie Bird, Senior Communications and Brand Manager at Lime, said: “We’ve long admired what the Victoria Park Vixens have built in East London – a community that seamlessly blends football, fashion and culture. Seeing the team ride Lime bikes to training and matchdays across Hackney Marshes made this partnership feel like a natural fit.

“The Vixens have already cultivated a true cult following with their kit designs, so bringing that together with Lime’s iconic visual identity makes this an exciting collaboration. We’re proud to support the team and champion grassroots women’s football through this partnership. With the World Cup just around the corner, this is exactly the kind of shirt you’ll want in rotation for watch parties.”
Founded in 2019 by Morgan Brennan via an Instagram call-out, Victoria Park Vixens has grown into one of London’s most talked about grassroots teams, with multiple fixtures a week across 5s, 7s and 11s. They even became the first women’s club to launch a men’s team.

But like much of women’s grassroots football, growth has outpaced resources. Following production issues in 2025 the Vixens were left without kits for a wave of new players. More than a year later many players were still without one.

The new sponsorship by Lime is helping change that. Marking the Vixens’ first kit in three years, the Lime x Victoria Park Vixens release is designed not just for players, but for a wider community of fans.
