NHS England / NHS Improvement has confirmed the appointment of Jaspal Dhillion as a Non-Executive Director at West London NHS Trust as of 1 July 2020. He will be replacing Neville Manuel who stepped down from the role earlier this year. Dhillion brings with him a wealth of experience that will equip him to provide constructive scrutiny to executives and contribute to the development of the Trust’s strategy for providing services to our community.

On accepting the position, Jaspal Dhillion said:

“I am extremely pleased to accept the role of Non-Executive Director. The Trust values are particularly important to me. They represent the values and skills that I strive for in my career. I hope to add value to this Non-Executive position through my comprehensive experience.”

Dhillion has worked in financial analysis, investment banking and management consultancy before moving to work in regulation with the Bank of England. He now works in strategic, financial and operational oversight and in responses to regulation with Credit Suisse, where he has also been a voting member of its Ethnic Minority Network.

Dhillion has seen first-hand how mental health and personality disorders can effect close friends and family. The positive support that health care services can offer service users attracted him to apply to join the Trust board so he could help shape these services for the future.

Dhillion lives in the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

Chairman of West London NHS Trust, Tom Hayhoe, says:

“We are looking forward to working with Jaspal. His commitment to the NHS and particularly to improving support for people with mental health problems makes him great addition to the Trust board.”
