There is no competition on earth that is like the World Cup. It brings everyone together and is ever-growing; like a full list of casinos in India. However, with many speculating about who might the best goalkeeper and win the Golden Glove, many are also wondering who might be the best finisher of the tournamentand score the most goals.

Who could be the main man of Qatar 2022 and possibly become a record breaker?

1. Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur and England

The man is just a goal machine and there is little to get in his way. Having won the last Golden Boot in Russia 2018, he has not stopped scoring for club and country since then. With England progressing to the semi-final of the World Cup and the final of the Euros last summer, Kane was at the forefront and has shown he can go deep into a tournament.

It would come as no surprise if he was to become the first back-to-back winner of the tournament’s top goalscoring prize.

2. Kylian Mbappe, Paris Saint-Germain and France

The hottest property in town. PSG managed to keep Real Madrid at bay and Mbappe stayed this summer which if France win the World Cup for the third time in their history could make him a legend. Mbappe was a main reason why France won the World Cup in 2018 and he managed to find the net four times across the tournament even scoring against Croatia in the final making him the second teenager to score in the final alongside Pele.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United and Portugal

No matter how old this man becomes you can never say he will not find the back of the net. Heading into what is likely his last World Cup but you never know with Ronaldo, he is still the main man for his country despite dropping down the pecking order for his club.

The only concern is how far Portugal can go in the tournamentbut they should make it out of their group.

4. Karim Benzema, Real Madrid and France

Another Frenchman who found devastating form last season. There has never been any denial that Benzema is an exceptional goalscorer but he was always playing second fiddle to someone. After Ronaldo left Madrid we saw Benzema smash goalscoring records.

Now he is back playing for his country and having won the Champions League in 2022 with Madrid against Liverpool he could show Qatar who is boss alongside his strike partner Mbappe.

5. Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona and Poland

The goal machine that is Robert Lewandowski, he made a big money move to Barcelona at the age of 34 because he still knows where the goal is. He is Poland’s main man and everything is focused on him.

Like Ronaldo, the issue is how far can Poland go but they have been handed a favourable group and Lewandowski could have a field day against Saudi Arabia who conceded 7 goals in 3 games last tournament.
