As usual, this year, the actors of Bronia Buchanan’s BBA Management have captivated viewers on television screens and stages around the world. Meanwhile, the talent agency’s creatives have played instrumental roles in the creation of countless productions, films, and television series. Though there are too many successes to list in total, here are some of BBA Management’s 2023 highlights.
Long-Time Family Favourites and Soaps
● Riley Jones played the series regular DC Mark Edwards in the 12th season of Vera. He also appeared in the 2023 Christmas Special.
● Kaye Brown and Rachel Morris appeared in Vera too. Kaye played Dorothy Elmsworth and Rachel played Carmen Harris. Plus, Rachel joined the company of 2:22: A Ghost Story with Natalie Boakye.
● Vera aside, Kaye made a guest appearance as a consultant neurologist in an episode of Coronation Street. Joanna Bond also made a guest appearance as a detective on the long-running soap.
● Priyasasha Kumari played the series regular Samia Choudhry in the 12th season of Waterloo Road. Priyasasha also appeared as her popular character in the Race Across Yorkshire sketch on the BBC’s Children in Need show.
● Priyasasha isn’t the only BBA Management actor to appear in Waterloo Road. Lamin Touray guest starred as Reece Morgan in the latest season. He also played Mike in A View From the Bridge at the Headlong Theatre (London) and Judd in the UK tour of Bouncers.
● Ryan Moloney played his long-term role of Toadie in the latest series of Neighbours. Ryan also joined the Neighbours cast on the 2023 Celebration Tour.
● Clara Darcy played the guest character Allie in an episode of Eastenders. She also played Nurse Phillips in three episodes of Emmerdale.
Dramas And Comedies
● Anastasia Ador appeared in the Indian Hindi-language comedy crime drama Farzi.
● Neelam Bakshi returned as Maria Shelley in the third season of Apple TV’s Ted Lasso. Neelam also played Shabnam in the BBC Three series Juice and Sidra in the BBC One series Better. On top of this, she appeared in season two of Amazon Prime’s The Wheel of Time.
● Nish Nathwani played Hasan in the fourth season of the comedy Breeders.
● Fergal Coghlan played Charlie York in the mystery television series Good Ship Murder. Fergal also starred as Frank Farmer in The Bodyguard, which is touring the UK.
● Viss Elliot Safavi appeared as Mrs Elmsworth in the new Apple TV series The Buccaneers. Viss also played Dr El Allali in five episodes of Emmerdale and Annie in The Swell at Orange Tree Theatre (London). On top of this, Viss played Miss Benesar in the 13th season of the comedy Not Going Out.
● Another BBA Management actor, Davina Dewrance, plays Olly’s mum in the same season of Not Going Out.
● Jayda Kariuki played Shai in the BBC Three drama Grime Kids. Jayda also joined the UK tour cast of Wish You Were Dead with Christopher Killik.
Netflix Originals
● Christopher Hollinshead played Officer Curran in the fourth season of the Netflix Original You.
● Eliza Capel played Princess Sophia in the Netflix miniseries Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
● Emma Brown played Dr Hudson in the fourth series of the Netflix series Sex Education.
● Everal A Walsh appeared in season six of the hugely popular Netflix show The Crown. Everal also played Errol in the one-man production Everything I Own at Brixton House (London).
Films
● Miles Western played Michael Barrymore in the documentary Michael Barrymore: Rise & Fall of Mr Saturday Night.
● Patricia Jones starred as Stephanie in the short film Bridge, which premiered at the Norwich Film Festival. Patricia also played Dorothy in the TV series The Dumping Ground and joined the cast of Mycelial at the Northern Stage (Newcastle upon Tyne).
● Maureen Hibbert starred as Anita in the short film Snowfalls in the Summer, which premiered at the 2023 British Film Institute (BFI) London Film Festival.
● Sean Jones played Gary in the short film Sharks in Colwyn Bay.
● Stephanie Siadatan played Cece in the film A Paris Christmas Waltz. She also joined the cast of The Motive and the Cue at the National Theatre (London) with Mark Extance. On top of this, Stephanie played Jade Thinball in an episode in the 24th season of Doctors, appearing alongside Ruth Redman, who played Ann Robinson. Ruth also starred in Con-Version at the Vault Festival (London).
● Lola Fever appeared as a dancer in the feature film Wonka.
Children’s Television and Live Shows
● Sam C Wilson reprised his role of Bill Sykes in the CBBC family comedy Dodger Special: Bad Egg.
● Flora Dawson played Mrs Rivers and Imogen Lambplayed Mary-Lou in the fourth season of the children’s series Malory Towers.
● Kwong Lee played Grandpa Chen in the second series of the CBeebies children’s show Biff & Chip.
● Rache Marwood played Miss Dunein in the second season of the CBBC comedy drama Lagging.
● Abi Harvey joined the cast of the children’s show The Tiger Who Came to Tea at the New Wimbledon Theatre (London).
Shakespeare Plays
● Natalie Kimmerling and David Lee Jones appeared in the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) production of The Tempest.
● Matt Ray Brown played Cicero in the RSC production of Julius Caesar.
● Karl Haynes and Haydn Burke joined the RSC cast of Hamnet. Karl also plays the Pale Crook in the psychological horror film Apartment 7A, which will come out in 2024.
● Anna Soden played Feste in CBeebies’ adaptation of Twelfth Night at Shakespeare’s Globe (London).
● Jasmin Hinds joined the company of Macbeth at the Donmar Warehouse (London).
London Plays
● Harry Pudwell played Roxie and Nick Carraway in The Great Gatsby: The Immersive Show at Gatsby’s Mansion.
● Rebecca Todd starred in DOM — The Play at the Other Palace.
● Martin Edwards starred in This Bitter Earth at the Everything Theatre.
● Rosalind Ford starred in the one-woman show Clay at the Vault Festival.
● Emma Bown and Kieran Brown joined the cast of The Crown Jewels at the Garrick Theatre. Kieran also played Paravicini in the UK tour of The Mousetrap.
● While Kieran joined the touring cast of The Mousetrap, Ben Cutler played Giles Ralston in the show at St Martin’s Theatre. Ben also played DC Stirling in 2:22 A Ghost Story at the Criterion Theatre.
● Jeremy Batt joined the cast of A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic.
● James McHugh played Pepe El Roman in The House of Bernada Alba at the National Theatre. He also joined the cast of Strictly Ballroom: The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre.
● Max Hutchinson played Ron Weasley in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre.

● Gareth Clarke joined the cast of Relatively Speaking at Theatre Royal Bath.
● Xsara-Sheneille Pryce joined the cast of Of All the Beautiful Things in the World, which premiered at Home Manchester.

● Katie Buchholz understudied Jenna Coleman’s role of Bernadette in Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons at the Harold Pinter Theatre (Woking). She also played Debbie in Leaves of Glass at Park Theatre (London).
● On top of this, Katie played Romaine Vole in Witness for the Prosecution at London County Hall. Aamira Challenger and Jo Servi joined Katie to perform in this Agatha Christie adaptation. Aamira also appeared in The Comedy of Errors at Shakespeare’s Globe and Breedingat the King’s Head Theatre (London). Meanwhile, Jo played Sultan in the UK and international tour of Aladdin.
UK Touring Plays
● Ray Strasser-King played Ray in Sucker Punch.
● Anashe Danai joined the cast of We Need New Names.
● Dean Graham joined the cast of Quiz.
● Dannie Harris played Flo, Mrs Bennet, and Darcy in Pride and Prejudice (Sort Of).
International Plays
● Henry Proffit joined the cast of The Canterville Ghost at the Erasmus Theatre (Italy). Henry also joined the cast of A Sherlock Carol at the Marylebone Theatre (London).
● Anne-Marie Piazza played Amanda Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie at the English Theatre (Vienna) and starred in Queerway at the Wales Millennium Centre.
London West End Musicals
● Bryony Duncan joined the cast of Les Misérables at the Sondheim Theatre.
● Madison Swan appeared in Kinky Boots in Concert at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. She also played Tina Turner in We Will Rock You at the London Coliseum.
● Miles Henderson starred as Skye in Mamma Mia! at the Novello Theatre.
● Hanna Dimtsu and Will Richardson starred in Mandelaat the Young Vic.
● Vicki Lee Taylor and Tom Scanlon performed in Mrs Doubtfire at the Manchester Opera House. Christopher Parkinson, Joseph Dockree, and Micha Richardson then joined them in the West End transfer at the Shaftesbury Theatre. Elliott Ware was the musical director for this show.
● Tom also appeared in Emojiland: The Concert at the Garrick Theatre.
● Vicki also joined the cast of Heathers at the Other Palace alongside Alexander McMorran, Megan Hill, Carly Burns, Tobias Turley, and Ashleigh Harvey.
● For MT Fest, Alexander joined the cast of Dark Lord with Max Cadman, Megan joined the cast of Train on Fire, and Micha played Janey in Come Dine With Me.
● Heathers aside, Carly also played Donna in the crime film A New Breed of Criminal.
● Following his leading role in Heathers, Tobias won the ITV talent competition Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream. He will now play the leading role of Sky in the West End Mamma Mia. He will follow in the footsteps of Ashleigh, who appeared in the UK and international tour of the ABBA-themed musical with Peter Camilleri this year.
● Kurt Kansley appeared in Pretty Woman: The Musical at the Savoy Theatre.
● Antoine Murray-Straughan, Bradley Charles, and Jaye Marshall joined the cast of Sylvia at the Old Vic. Bradley also played Michael Manners/DJ in the UK tour of Stars.
● Connor Ashman and Yuki Abe joined the cast of Wicked at the Apollo Theatre.
● Jared Thompson joined the cast of The Cher Show at the New Wimbledon Theatre. He also played Danny in Grease at the Secret Cinema.
● Joaquin Pedro Valdes played Connor in Killing the Cat at Riverside Studios. Joaquin also played Stephen Hayes in Then, Now & Next at the Southwark Playhouse and Light Yagami in Death Note at the London Palladium.
● Michael James-Stewart played Paul Williams in Ain’t Too Proud at the Prince Edward Theatre. He also joined the UK tour cast of Hamilton with Cletus Chan.
● Lanya Matthews understudied Nala and joined the ensemble in The Lion King at the Lyceum.
● Hannah Dimtsu joined the cast of Once on This Island at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
● Adam Price joined the cast of At the Sky’s Edge at Gillian Lynne Theatre.
