With January activities on hold and schooling and work taking place at home, the search for ways to stay busy and entertained continues. However, fear not, as Elephant and Castle’s Virtual Community Hub is combatting the lockdown blues by providing a fun-filled schedule of events to keep all the family busy and active at home. With something for your mind and body, there’s a whole host of activities from wellness and fitness to arts and crafts, that can be easily accessed online.

Helping to keep kids entertained, the Community Hub is offering FREE virtual arts and crafts workshops for 2-10-year-olds every Thursday. Not forgetting the parents, there will be free online mindfulness classes every Monday, to help adults find some peaceful moments during these difficult months.

To round off the end of January, and to add some celebration and positivity around entering a new year, the Community Hub is also throwing ‘The White Dress Party’ on Sunday 31 January at 7pm. Enjoy the community party from your home, which includes singalong performances from Elephant and Castle’s very own Community Hub Choir, and a new year quiz including exciting prizes.

Further activities continue to run on Elephant and Castle’s Virtual Community Hub, such as Latin Dance Aerobics Workout classes, Frogprince Baby music live (which has seen over 2k views) and Easy Cooking recipes videos for you to follow along to make the most of your home cooking!

Also, don’t miss Re-Tribe talks, the online series of self-care workshops. Every Tuesday at 11:00am, co-founders of Re-Tribe invite a special guest, speaking to local heroes and inspirational individuals who are helping people to navigate through life’s challenges. The most recent talk featured Olympic and World and European medallist, Kelly Sotherton where 2.2k viewers tuned in to watch.
