Next week, Spitalfields Summer Screen returns to Bishop’s Square at Spitalfields Market from Thursday 22 May, bringing a programme of live sport to a giant 188-inch outdoor screen throughout the summer.
Launching just in time for the Bank Holiday weekend, the screen will kick off showing major summer fixtures, including Wimbledon tennis, making it a must-visit spot to catch a Summer of Sport in the heart of the City – whether for a lunchtime break, a post-work catch-up, or a spontaneous stop-off for passersby looking to catch all the action.
Just steps from the screen, Lamb Street is home to some of Spitalfields’ best grab-and-go street food, making it ideal for takeaway picnics to enjoy in front of the live action. Visitors can pick up everything from loaded fries at Funky Chips to pick-n-mix sushi from Sushi Joy, alongside a plethora of additional options from local market traders.
As part of the Spitalfields Summer Screen programme, neighbourhood favourites will be serving up exclusive summer specials and limited-time offers for visitors throughout the season, including:
Sweet Ube Gnocchi from Lamb Street favourite Gnocchi Bar, exclusive to Spitalfields and launching on 21 June as part of their new summer menu. The line-up also includes Nutella Gnocchi served with Vanilla Gelato and loaded Greek gnocchi.
The Rolling Dice Movement at Double O Martini Bar: where guests can roll the dice for the chance to win a complementary bill. The offer will run Monday to Thursday, 5-8pm, launching soon.
A fruity summer menu from cult favourite JENKI Matcha, served from its summer cart on Bishop’s Square and its store on Brushfield Street.
