Ambitious about Autism, the national charity for autistic children and young people, is hosting a new golfing event next month to
raise vital funds for its work.

The Ambitious Golf Day will be held on
Monday 28 September at the picturesque Muswell Hill Golf Club, about a mile and a half from TreeHouse School – a specialist school run by Ambitious about Autism.

The inaugural fundraiser aims to bring together members of the community, including those with a connection to the cause, local businesses,
and corporate sponsors for a day of sport, fundraising, and networking.

The Ambitious Golf Day begins at 9am and will see teams of four enjoy a full day on the course. Guests will receive breakfast on
arrival and take part in competitions on the course. There will also be raffle and a buffet dinner.

Entry costs £500 for a team of four, with proceeds helping to fund Ambitious about Autism’s essential work supporting autistic children,
young people, and their families.

The charity runs five specialist schools and colleges across London and the South East. Its first school, TreeHouse School, based
on Woodside Avenue was founded in 1997 by a small group of parents determined to secure the best education for their autistic children. Today the school educates around 100 pupils aged 3 to 19.

In addition to its schools and colleges, the charity runs two online networks that enable autistic young people and parents to build
connections and access support. It also has an employability programme and a Supported Internships programme that help autistic young people enter the world of work.

Alongside this, Ambitious about Autism campaigns nationally to improve the experiences of autistic children and young people when
it comes to employment, education, and health and social care.

Danae Leaman-Hill, Director of External Affairs and Development at Ambitious about Autism, said:

“We’re delighted to bring together both longstanding and new supporters for our inaugural Ambitious Golf Day. This exciting new fundraiser
provides a fantastic opportunity for businesses and individuals to enjoy a memorable day on the course in support of autistic children, young people, and their families. Every team that takes part will help us continue our vital work, providing the support
and opportunities that autistic children and young people need to learn, thrive and achieve.”
