Chocolate fans are in for a cocoa powered treat as Hotel Chocolat, the luxury cacao grower and chocolatier, announces the relocation of its Stratford store to expand to a Velvetiser Café.
The new store and café will open doors on 29th May, occupying a 2,175sq ft unit and offer a welcoming seated space for 30 guests.
The location will be home to the Velvetiser Café, serving bespoke bakes and cakes inspired by Hotel Chocolat’s most-loved chocolates – all designed to pair perfectly with the drinks on the menu. As well as The Social Table: A warm and inviting centrepiece for sampling and connection. Designed to spark conversation, guests can explore tasting notes, engage with team members, and discover the stories behind their favourite chocolates. Inspired by the molten flow of chocolate, every curve of the table tells a tale of craftsmanship.
At the Velvetiser Café, guests can explore cacao in all its forms with a wide range of drinking chocolates and customizable combinations. There are 19 core hot drinking chocolate flavours, plus limited-edition flavours when available, all of which can be served as Choc Shakes. The menu also includes six iced drinking chocolates for a refreshing twist on cacao.
Every drink can be tailored with dairy or plant-based alternatives and finished with a choice of toppings, including the signature Cacao Whip for a personal touch that completes the experience.
The team can also help customers find their chocolate ‘Love Match’ based on their preferred flavour profiles including smooth pralines, patisserie-inspired flavours or something tipsy which packs a punch.
