St George (a proud member of the Berkeley Group), and in partnership with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, is supporting First Time Buyers, living or working in the area, with the launch of 40 one- and two-bedroom discounted apartments at London Dock – one of the Capital’s most exciting new Zone One neighbourhoods for all to enjoy.

Assisting First Time Buyers living or working in Tower Hamlets onto the property ladder with a discount below market value, the first 27 high-quality homes will launch on the weekend of 27th- 28th January, with remaining homes released in September 2024.

These homes will form part of Saffron Wharf, the latest phase of London Dock, and will be ready to move into Autumn 2024.

Each resident has access to over 7.5 acres of landscaped open space and private gardens in addition to a range of hotel-style resident amenities which form the bespoke leisure and wellness facility, The Club. These state-of-the-art facilities include a Technogym equipped gym, a 25-metre heated pool and spa – which features a sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi – squash courts, cinema room, virtual golf suite, and 24-hour concierge.

London Dock is a vibrant and growing 15-acre mixed-use central London neighbourhood, located near to The City and other key London landmarks such as the Tower of London and the iconic Tower Bridge stretch of the River Thames. Designed by renowned architects Patel Taylor, the transformation of London Dock introduces 1,800 homes and award-winning public spaces and gardens by Elite Landscaping, set within flourishing squares and picturesque boulevards.

The centrepiece of the development, Gauging Square, features a spectacular dynamic water feature, surrounded by new bars, eateries and cultural spaces offering a relaxed, cosmopolitan lifestyle that’s much sought after in the busy capital. New openings include: Slurp Noodles, Urban Baristas, and Mother Dough, which join artisan champagne restaurant, Champagne Route and City Pharmacy.

Demand in Wapping | Wapping’s rich history and prime riverside location – combined with excellent connectivity – has sparked a resurgence for city living. According to property agents CBRE (using ONS data), house prices in the Tower Hamlets have increased by 60% over the past 10 years, outperforming other prime areas in London over the same period. CBRE forecast rents to grow by 16.3% in London over the next five years, signifying continued demand for city living and strong investment credentials. This post-pandemic resurgence of the city is further cemented by Benham and Reeves whose research shows that rental demand and enquiries rose by 5% during Q4 2020 and have maintained momentum over the course of the last two years, with enquiries up 12% in Q2 2023.

Wapping is well-connected across the capital, and London Dock’s prime position is only a short walk from Tower Hill and Aldgate East tube stations, alongside the Elizabeth Line accessible via Whitechapel.
