Roof East, one of London’s most recognisable summer destinations, has officially
reopened for the 2026 season, transforming the top of Stratford’s multi-storey car park once again into the capital’s ultimate rooftop playground.

Now open Tuesday – Sunday until 27 September 2026, the iconic East London venue returns with a packed summer programme of rooftop cinema, DJs, experiential gaming, street food and large-scale social events – locking in its place as London’s biggest rooftop playground and one of the city’s defining
open-air entertainment venues.

Located moments from Stratford Station, with easy access from the Elizabeth Line, Westfield Stratford
City and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Roof East has become a symbol of East London’s evolving
cultural scene, transforming a former car park into a vibrant hospitality and entertainment destination
through adaptive urban reuse.
Built around its “Play Harder” ethos, Roof East continues to position itself as a play-first alternative to
the traditional rooftop bar, blending hospitality, culture and immersive entertainment in a high-energy
open-air setting. Far beyond a standard drinking venue, Roof East combines interactive games, rooftop
cinema, DJs, street food and communal summer experiences across one expansive rooftop destination.
For 2026, guests see the return of Birdies Crazy Golf, Sluggers Batting Cages, Glitter Bowls, Arrows
Archery, ping pong, cornhole and giant interactive games, firmly placing Roof East within the
fast-growing “competitive socialising” sector. Returning food partners include Chick’n’Sours, Cheeky
Burger and Piddaji, with halal and vegan-friendly options available across the venue.
Alongside its evening programming, Roof East will host a packed schedule of daytime experiences
including bottomless brunches, sunset sessions, festival-style activations and seasonal brand
collaborations- creating a carefree summer atmosphere inspired by escapism, playfulness and long days
spent outdoors with friends.
A major focus for the 2026 season is the venue’s rooftop cinema and live entertainment programme,
with open-air screenings running throughout the summer alongside select major live moments shown
on the big screen. This year’s schedule will feature cult classics, blockbuster films, themed movie nights,
DJs, national sports, and communal viewing experiences set against panoramic London skyline views.
Guests can settle into deckchairs and loveseats while enjoying cocktails, frozen drinks and street food,
with the rooftop transforming throughout the summer into a vibrant social space that blends festival
energy with East London creativity.
As East Bank continues to transform Stratford into one of London’s most exciting cultural districts – with
V&A East, Sadler’s Wells East and major new creative institutions opening across the area – Roof East is
perfectly positioned at the heart of East London’s biggest summer.
