On Sunday 24th March, a team from Caridon braved the cold weather and hard floor by sleeping rough in Boxpark Croydon for Sleep Out Croydon to raise money to support Evolve, a charity providing housing and support to over 2,000 people each year.

The team, CEO Mario Carrozzo, Managing Director Akeel Alidina, Hicham Abbad, Emma Lambert, Giselle King, Jodie Anderson, Bilaal Lone, Nasser Halabi, Helen Cro, Chris Membu, Sarah Facey, Chantay Dorival, Ebenezer Amoh, Sarah Costello, Sharon Lewis, Yakup Karakurt, and Karla Ashun took part in the event to support the charity and raise awareness for the work it does.

Evolve is leading the ‘CR Zero 2020’ initiative to end rough sleeping in Croydon by working with partners such as Crisis. The money raised from the event helps homeless people off the streets and into positive, independent lives.

Caridon is passionate about helping the community and most importantly, raising funds and awareness for the plight of homelessness that effects our country.

Caridon works with Local Authorities and external provisions to fight homelessness in the communities that they serve and have worked alongside Evolve for many years. With this in mind, not only was Caridon excited to support this cause, it was also able to provide merchandising sponsorship to the event with branded mugs, which helped to facilitate hot cups of tea for all the event participants on the night.
