A mum of four from near Walthamstow is planning to travel abroad for the first time after winning £70K on a Seven Times Lucky Scratchcard by The National Lottery.
The community volunteer, in her 60s, regularly plays the Seven Times Lucky Scratchcard, as she says the prize value doesn’t feel as scary as others.
Speaking on her win, she said: “Winning was an incredible moment… I felt like I had been kissed by an angel!
“I’s truly excited about the opportunities this win will create for me and my family’s future. I’m going to travel abroad for the first time and soak up all of the history of the places I will visit!”
Dean O’Field, Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, congratulated the winner, saying: “We are ecstatic for our lucky Walthamstow winner, and the amazing opportunities that this win opens up for her and her family. Now the big question is where will she explore first on her travels?”
There is a 1 in 3.32 overall chance of winning a prize on each Seven Times Lucky Scratchcard.
Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. They can also buy and check tickets in retail. Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is automatically checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner.
Playing any National Lottery game is more than just a chance to win; it’s a way to contribute to something much bigger. Each week, players help generate around £33M for National Lottery-funded projects. With over £53BN raised for Good Causes since launch, this funds hundreds of projects in every postcode area across the UK. From supporting the arts and sport sectors, to empowering local community groups and preserving iconic British landmarks, players’ participation makes a difference every single day.
